The name "Sawdust" originates from the band's first jamming room: A garage filled with sawdust.

Sawdust was formed in Bømlo, Norway in 2012 by Lars Henrik Kvernenes and Andreas Hesjedal.

It's full original lineup completed the band October 2015.
